The Skywatcher Equinox devices telescope optics of particularly high quality. The Equinox ED APO 66 optics offers a very high-quality lenses with one ED glass element (FPL-51 for Equinox 60 and FPL-53 for Equinox 80) equipped. This combination provides for high contrast and nearly false color free picture. The lenses are mulicoated for a bright and reflex-poor picture. The picture remains by very high magnification with high-contrast and does not abate. The maximum magnification power of this telescope would lie with for instance 135-x. But you can even with higher magnification get a good image.
The Equinox 66 is the perfect choice for birding, nature study, and/or astrophotography. Its fast optics and generous field of view make it an ideal instrument for studying larger clusters and star fields too.

A special advantage of this equipment is the photography. Nature photograpy and also astrophotography are possible without problems. The 1:10 reduction plays its advantage, because you need finest adjusting possibilities for the phtographies to get really sharp pictures.
